Hello! 👋

I'm Ubaydah Kramez

Graduate Software Engineer

About Me

I'm a graduate software engineer who enjoys building software that is clear, readable, and reliable, and that is satisfying to design and refine over time. During my internship I worked on internal development tools using React and Python, and since then I've continued building independent projects to deepen my understanding of backend development and system design. I'm particularly drawn to problems where abstract concepts - algorithms, architecture, or workflows - must be shaped into precise, working systems. Much of my independent work comes from exploring unfamiliar or emerging ideas, including local AI and distributed systems, both as a way to build useful tools and to keep learning and evolving as an engineer.

Projects

01

Distributed AI Platform with Real-Time Telegram Integrated Messaging

  • Designed and deployed a distributed, self-hosted AI copilot spanning Android (Telegram interface), Linux (orchestration server), and a dedicated AI inference node, with services containerised and deployed using Docker.
  • Built lightweight Python API services to route requests between nodes, manage conversation context, and enforce role-based access and persona logic.
  • Implemented operational safeguards including model-readiness checks, request gating, server-side logging, and error isolation to prevent internal failures reaching end users.
  • Integrated Telegram as a real-time messaging interface, enabling remote interaction with locally hosted models and demonstrating cross-platform system integration in a production-like environment.
  • Developed authenticated endpoints and scheduled jobs to rotate demo credentials and manage public access without redeploying services.
02

DSA Visualizer – Interactive Data Structures & Algorithms Platform

  • Designed and built an interactive system to visualise data structures and algorithmic patterns for structured interview preparation.
  • Implemented a backend logic engine in Python (FastAPI) to generate personalised study roadmaps using weighted heuristics, tiering, and frequency analysis.
  • Modelled a hierarchical taxonomy (category → pattern → sub-pattern → tier) and implemented ranking, aggregation, and scheduling logic using relational queries.
  • Integrated a React-based frontend with an Excalidraw-style canvas to render draggable, linked visual nodes representing algorithmic concepts.

Experience

Software Engineering Intern

Drake & Scull International PJSC

Jun 2025 - Oct 2025
  • Developed an internal web-based tool to support legal document management and contract tracking workflows in an enterprise environment.
  • Built and iterated on full-stack features using React and a Python-based backend, with a lightweight relational data model for prototyping and testing.
  • Worked with IT and legal teams to translate workflow requirements into software features, improving consistency and reducing manual document handling.
  • Assisted with debugging, feature refinement, and documentation to improve maintainability and usability of internal tools.

EdTech Subject Matter Consultant
